The inaugural Sullivan County Extension Awards & Appreciation Banquet is officially planned for February 11, 2027 (snow date is February 25, 2027). Hosted by UT Extension Sullivan County, this landmark celebration will honor the essential volunteers, community leaders, and local producers who drive the area’s agricultural and youth programs forward.
Who is Being Honored?
The banquet will recognize key participants across Sullivan County’s main extension networks, including:
- 4-H Members & Volunteers
- Master Gardeners
- Family and Consumer Education (FCE) Clubs
- Local Livestock Producers
- Dedicated Community Partners
How is it Funded?
To fund this inaugural event, the UT Extension staff is hosting a preview fundraiser called Flannel & Flavors on October 20th at the Ron Ramsey Regional Agriculture Center.
- The Experience: The fundraiser features local country ciders, a savory biscuit bar (with apple-braised BBQ pork and pimento cheese), a candy apple station, and live storytelling focused on Appalachian folklore and traditions.
