Fun Facts!

  • One of the most enjoyable and rewarding 4-H programs is summer camp! If your child is interested in attending camp, we are accepting registrations now! Our theme this year is “CAMPING IS FUN!”
  • These five-day four-night camps offer excellent youth programming, activities and lots of fun!!

  • Activities include: swimming, archery, water slide, woodworking, wildlife, rifle range, fishing, canoeing, star gazing, kayaking, airbrush & tie-dye, ga-ga ball, basketball, volleyball, ropes course, talent show, campfire, carnival games, and MUCH MORE!!!

Parents Concerns And Information

Campers arrive at the 4-H Center in Greeneville, TN on Monday late morning and leave midday on Friday. Transportation is provided to and from Junior Camp so contact your 4-H Agent at the Sullivan County Extension office for more details. The Clyde Austin 4-H Center makes every effort to insure that your child has a safe and rewarding camp experience. The 4-H agents, adult & teen volunteer leaders, and permanent camp staff encourage all participants to experience new adventures and make new friends. 

Facilities are regularly inspected and meet health department guidelines. The University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture safety officer evaluates camp facilities to keep them free of hazards. The 4-H Center is accredited according to the strict guidelines of the American Camp Association.

A first-aid station is located on the campgrounds while local hospitals provide care in case of an emergency (hospital located 3 miles from campgrounds). A healthcare professional is employed by the Clyde Austin 4-H Center. Medications for allergies and other illnesses are kept in a safe location and monitored by adults. It is the parents’ responsibility to notify 4-H agents of any medical conditions that may apply to their child.
