Tennessee Nutrition & Consumer Education Program (TNCEP)

This program provides nutrition and consumer education for low-income families of Sullivan County.
Source - Funded by a grant from Department of Human Services administered through the University of Tennessee via of a county coalition directing the spending.
Purpose - To conduct food and nutrition programs for food stamp recipients and other limited resource individuals, enabling them to become more self-sufficient in using food stamps and related resources to achieve adequate nutrition for their families'''' health.

Purpose of Family and Community Education Clubs - To learn skills and acquire knowledge needed for successful homemaking. To secure up-to-date information on technological changes affecting the home and family living. To develop leadership ability and individual growth.
